Hope behind bars, home after release

Jesus named prison visitation among the marks of His people — and the hardest part isn't going inside, it's being ready when someone comes out. Our prison counsel prepares churches for both halves of the calling.

We partner with facility chaplains for inside services and correspondence courses, then build your re-entry team: mentors, employers, landlords, and a congregation practiced at welcome without naivety.

  • Second Sundays — inside services with the facility chaplain's team.
  • Re-entry mentors — one trained mentor per returning neighbor, for a full year.
  • Welcome protocol — safety, boundaries, and genuine belonging, written down.

What's included in the counsel

A complete Prison Ministry engagement, from chaplain introduction to first welcome Sunday.

Chaplain partnership

We introduce your team to facility chaplains, complete volunteer clearance, and shape services that fit inside rules and schedules.

Re-entry mentoring

Mentors train in housing, work, and parole realities — plus the patient art of celebrating small wins for twelve months.

Welcoming congregation

Sermons, small-group prep, and a written safety plan so the whole church welcomes wisely — with open arms and clear eyes.

How the counsel works

Six months from first clearance form to a church that knows how to say welcome home.

01

Clearance & calling

Paperwork, orientation, and an honest night about fears, boundaries, and the gospel.

02

Inside rhythm

Monthly services and weekly correspondence courses begin with chaplain oversight.

03

Mentor training

Re-entry realities: IDs, jobs, housing, triggers — and the mentor covenant that holds it.

04

Welcome Sunday

The congregation practices welcome before it's needed, so grace is ready on day one.
